Chanel Celebrates Opening Night of the BAAND Together Dance Festival
Gabrielle Chanel’s respect for dance continues to be honored with Chanel’s ongoing support of the BAAND Together Dance Festival. Chanel has partnered with the festival since its inception in 2021, and on Tuesday evening the brand hosted a cocktail party at Tatiana to celebrate the opening night of the 2024 festival.
Event attendees included Havana Rose Liu, Anna Baryshnikov, Casimere Jollette, Misty Copeland, Tommy Dorfman, Delaney Buffett, Sarah Hoover, Coco Baudelle, Joanna Halpin, Christie Tyler, Eileen Kelly, Violetta Komyshan, Sade Lythcott, Anna Glass, Eva Alt, Beverly Nguyen and more, who swung by the buzzy restaurant for mingling before heading over to Lincoln Center to take in performances by five of New York’s most celebrated dance companies: Ballet Hispánico, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, and Dance Theatre of Harlem.

The 2024 BAAND Together Dance Festival runs through Aug. 3 and each afternoon one of the five companies will bring their own teaching style to participants of all ages with dance workshops in the David Geffen Hall lobby. BAAND Together was started in 2021 when the performing arts were returning to the stage following the global shutdown of COVID-19, to mark collaboration and celebrate the return of live performance.
