Big news and bigger news for fans of The Challenge: All Stars.

Season 5 now has a premiere date — Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 8/7c, as first reported by sister site Variety — though the competition series is leaving Paramount+ after four seasons, and moving to MTV.

Arguably much more exciting is the news that Season 5 will be a “Rivals” edition, pairing up franchise vets who share… complicated… pasts.

Notably among those returning, you have Ashley Mitchell (9 Challenges, 2 Wins), who hasn’t competed since 2021 and was kicked off of Season 37 (“Spies, Lies and Allies”) for an unknown disciplinary reason; Beth Stolarczyk (an OG from The Real World: Los Angeles, and last seen on The Challenge All Stars Season 2); Da’Vonne Rogers (a big fan favorite/Big Brother cast member who crossed over); and Veronica Portillo (a big-time OG who was conspicuously absent from The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras).
