Celebrities Unite Against Cosmetic Surgery

Kate Winslet, Emma Thompson and Rachel Weisz have joined forces to form the 'British Anti-Cosmetic Surgery League'.

Winslet, 35, began the initiative in an effort to highlight the pressure Hollywood places on actresses to undergo cosmetic surgery.

"It goes against my morals, the way that my parents brought me up and what I consider to be natural beauty," said Winslet. "I am an actress, I don't want to freeze the expression of my face."

Thompson and Weisz reportedly didn't need much convincing to join Winslet's plight, with Thompson telling the Telegraph UK, "We're in this awful youth-driven thing now where everybody needs to look 30 at 60. I'm not fiddling about with myself."

Weisz, who recently married James Bond star Daniel Craig, says it's important to remember that imperfections are what make people unique.

"People who look too perfect don’t look sexy or particularly beautiful," said the actress.

Winslet has spoken out before about the pressures of Hollywood, saying she also finds the size zero trend "extremely disturbing".

"It's so disturbing, because young girls are impressionable from 11 up to 19 or 20, even. Women are very impressionable at those ages. They're trying to figure out who they are, and they want to be loved, and what I resent is that there is an image of perfection that is getting thinner and thinner, and it's truly upsetting to me."
