Cassandra Thorburn hits back at trolls after being called 'fugly'

Cassandra Thorburn has clapped back at trolls who called her ‘fugly’, slamming them for their bully-like behaviour.

Karl Stefanovic’s ex became the target of cruel social media users after appearing on TV yesterday, deciding she wasn’t “tolerating it anymore”.

“I just think it’s time to ‘out’ that sort of behaviour,” Cassandra told Be.

In a post on her social media, the 44-year-old scolded one of her ‘abusers’ for their behaviour.

“What about this bully, yes Guy you have taken a freeze frame of someone making a face and what’s your point?” she wrote, alongside a screenshot of the offending message.

“Calling me FUGLY and sending me a frame does what for you?”

The mum of three then added the hashtags, “#callingoutthebullies #nottoleratingitanymore” to the post that was shared last night.

It followed her appearance on Studio 10, where she had been left unimpressed by a question asked by host Sarah Harris about her love life.

A report from the The Sunday Telegraph claimed the 44-year-old is set to be ‘axed’ from the breakfast show and replaced in the new year.

“You’re a great mum and I know your life is all about them at the moment,” Sarah Harris said during the interview. “But, is the door open to maybe love again?”

Cassandra immediately appears perplexed by the question responding, “What? So do I need to have a man?”

“Do I need to have a man to continue on,” Cassandra continued, while Sarah quickly said, “No, not at all, not at all”.

It comes after rumours surfaced this week that Today host Karl Stefanovic is facing the axe after his very public marriage breakdown.

“Top-level sources at Channel 9’s Willoughby studios say the embattled Today host is officially ‘gone’,’ the publication claimed.

Karl broke his silence on Monday and insisted all that matters in life are his “family and friends”.

The pair were married for 21 years before Karl ended their relationship in 2016 and moved on shortly after with now fiancé Jasmin Yarbrough.

They share three kids together, Jackson, 18, Ava, 13, and River, 11.
