A fan of Underwood who used to go by @ChartCarrie on X revealed that they were entering a "New era," shifting gears and converting their account into one called @MegsCharts, focused on the chart success of rising singer Megan Moroney.

Although it was just one fan redesigning their account, a number of fans decided not to support Underwood after she announced her performance at Trump's inauguration.

Many fans shared their thoughts on the move in the comments, with replies like, "I don't even know who Megan Moroney is (I don't listen to country) but I love this sudden rebrand/identity change" and "OKAY DIVA, CLOCK."

"You are an icon," said another, as more chimed in with supportive responses such as, "WE WILL BE FOLLOWING," "Love a pivot" and "😭😭😭😭😭😭 you are so iconic for this."

"This is called holding your faves accountable (we love u MegCharts)," wrote a different fan.

But others didn't understand the move, such as one who said, "Canceling someone isn't going to do anything. Stop whining!"

Despite some negative responses, overall, fans were generally supportive of the decision, cheering on the new Moroney account.

After the news of Underwood's performance was first revealed on Jan. 13, there were quite a few fans of the "All-American Girl" singer who shared their disappointment and decided to stop supporting her. But she wasn't without supporters, with many people hyping up Underwood and her upcoming appearance.
