'So disrespectful': Cardi B's nude photo apology angers fans

Cardi B accidentally posted a topless photo of herself to her Instagram this week - but that’s not what has her fans up in arms.

The rapper was quick to delete the rogue image taken while she was in Las Vegas celebrating her birthday, Billboard reported, before sharing a voice memo on Twitter to apologise for the misstep.

“Lord, Lord, why the f**k you have to make me so stupid and r******d? Why? Why, why, why?” she said.

“You know what, I’m never going to beat myself up about it.”

She went on to say she was “not going to think about it” and that “sh** happens”.

The WAP rapper isn’t shy about showing off some skin online, something her fans generally don’t mind either. But in this instance it was actually her use of the R-word that caused an uproar.

“The r word. How do you have fans?” one person asked.

“Not you saying the r-word in 2020 …” another replied on Twitter.

“Someone tell Cardi b to stop using the r word please. It is so disrespectful and people have told her multiple times to stop,” was another person’s response.

While a fourth - who has a child with a disability - also called out the star.

“Please don’t use the R word. I love you but my child is disabled and that word really hurts. “Makes me cringe,” she wrote.
