The Cosmic Column – for all the signs!
Your weekly look at the astrological weather for the week ahead.
How well are you communicating?
It’s kind of all about Mercury this week. Mercury is the planet of communications. This is what Mercury is up to this week, in this order:
1. First Mercury clashes with Jupiter (today/Sunday)
On the one hand, we know there is no such thing as a bad Jupiter transit, on the other hand, there is such as thing as saying too much too soon when you get a transit like this. Especially given that most of us are likely to still be in quarantine when this happens, it really is a matter of all of us learning the old adage “least said, soonest mended”. If you can bring humour into any upsets this week, it will serve you well.
2. Next Mercury changes signs (Monday)
Mercury will be moving out of Aries and into the rock steady earth sign of Taurus. This is a good thing because at least this is a settled place for Mercury to be. So even though there are some Mercurial ups and downs this week, the fact that Mercury is making most of them from the stable sign of Taurus is a good thing – though let’s not forget that steady Taurus is also the sign of the BULL! So if you see red? B-r-e-a-t-h-e!
3. Then Mercury clashes with Saturn (Tuesday)
Just to keep things really interesting, Mercury will clash with Saturn, the planet of hard knocks and hard news, newly moved into the humanitarian sign of Aquarius. Does this bode badly for humanity? Well put it this way, it’s pretty clear that there are lots of hard lessons for humanity right now – this clash could ask us ARE YOU *£$£”%!!! LEARNING YOUR LESSONS, WORLD?
4. Then Mercury meeting chaotic Uranus (Friday)
On the one hand, this is a positive, since Uranus is the great reverser of the zodiac. So if you have had harsh words with someone this week, by the end of the week, it might be possible to take them back. That said, this meeting could also see people blurting out things they didn’t really mean to say! So if you know you have loose lips at the best of times, or a short fuse, as the week goes on, stay as circumspect as you can!
We are in the waxing cycle of the Moon, moving towards Full Moon, so the energies are getting higher and higher. It’s a really good week for a meditation practise. Just saying!
