Yahoo Lifestyle Cap’n Crunch Reportedly Bringing Back ‘Dream Come True’ Flavor That Has Fans Hyped
Cereal fans are rejoicing after learning that Cap’n Crunch is reportedly bringing back an old flavor that hasn’t been available for almost a decade.
According to several reputable food bloggers, the cereal giant is bringing back an ice cream-inspired flavor just in time for the summer months, complete with a revamped look.

In a shared Instagram post on Feb. 15, food influencers Markie_devo, cereallife, and the_cerealqueen wrote “Cap’N Crunch went deep into the archives and pulled out the 2016 Orange Creampop Crunch.”
They continued, describing the popular cereal. “For those of you that never tried this one it features classic crunchy golden squares infused and glazed with orange flavor(similar to an orange cream pop).”

The caption accompanied an image of both the new and the previous box artwork. In the 2025 version, the cereal mascot wears a short-sleeved shirt, has sunglasses pushed up on his head, and holds an oversized orange and white cream pop in his hand. In the 2016 version, he wore his traditional outfit, but still held the dessert in hand.
The bloggers said there is no known launch date for the cereal, but that it’s “Heading to stores nationwide that carry the brand soon.”
Fans were thrilled with the news, jumping into the comments to share their excitement.
“Wow I’m sure the orange flavour cereal is going to be good 😍😍,” wrote one fan, and another agreed, commenting, “Say what?!? Need this!!!!”
“That’s my fav flavor.. need to try this now,” said a fan, and another commenter was on the same page, writing, “cannot wait for this comeback!” One fan went so far as to declare it was a “dream come true.”
