Byron Bay influencers raise eyebrows with racy announcement

In the age of social media, it’s no surprise that expecting couples share their pregnancy news on Instagram.

And this past week has seen a post from a particular digitally-savvy pair set tongues wagging, thanks to its creative - and racy - nature.

Byron Bay couple Mitch Gobel and Sally Mustang (who has since appeared to have deleted Instagram) announced they’re expecting a baby by sharing a photo in which Sally was wearing a bra and straddling her shirtless partner.

“Ok ok ok, we have some beautiful news,” Sally wrote 308,000 Instagram followers.

“The biggest blessing in my life, in February we will be Mum and Papa to a very very special little someone. Over the moon and back a million times.”

Mitch shared the same image, as well as a few more from the shoot that took place in a forest setting.

“Words can hardly describe how thrilled, humbled and honoured I am,” he shared with his over 200,000 fans.

“Sal and I are having a baby. As it happens, Sals just over 19 weeks pregnant and everything is happy and healthy.”

Fans immediately congratulated the couple on their beautiful news, including fellow social media personality, Constance Hall.

“Oh my god. A little forest baby is coming,” the former Dancing With The Stars contestant wrote in the comments section of Sally’s post.

“I cannot wait to meet this little slice of magic. Oh f**k this is the best news I’ve heard in ages Sal!! I think my heart just melted. Give Mitch my our love too.”

Sally and Mitch have previously made waves on social media, thanks to the racy nature of some of their posts, and openness about their sex lives.

The yoga enthusiasts briefly split in 2017, but rekindled their romance soon after and have been going from strength to strength since.

Last year, they revealed they got a black line tattooed on their lips to signify a form of ‘marriage’.
