Bunnings snag detail goes viral on TikTok: 'Genius'
It might look like a pretty delicious Bunnings snag but a detail in this woman’s TikTok video is causing people to gasp online.
Melbourne baker Tigga MacCormack has taken to the social media site to reveal how she recreated the iconic Aussie snack as a cake.
The video, which has been viewed over 1.5 million times on the site, shows Tigga make a Bunnings sausage sizzle completely out of confectionery items.

First, Tigga takes a vanilla butter cake and shapes it while it’s still hot so that it looks just like bread.
She then slices off the crust before slicing the cake in half and it looks just like two pieces of bread, perfect for a sausage filling.
To make the sausage, Tigga rolls out a chocolate mud cake so it resembles the shape of a snag.
Then she takes some brown fondant and puts the mud cake sausage inside it before rolling it up and “torched the crap out of it”.
“If you can’t tell, I am making a snag in bread. It’s a pretty big thing over here in Australia, I don’t know if other countries have it. But in Australia it’s pretty iconic,” Tigga says in the video.
To make the onions on top, Tigga fried some sliced apples in sugar and for the ketchup, she used buttercream in a sauce bottle.
Needless to say, people’s minds were blown online, with one person simply calling her creation “genius”.
This is mind blowing! I’m tasting tomato sauce but I know it’s butter cream,” another person wrote.
Others couldn’t help debating what exactly they call their Bunnings snack, with some saying it’s called a sausage sizzle and other saying they call it a sausage sandwich.
