Bunnings has joined the air fryer game and shoppers are loving it
First it was Aldi’s Special Buys that had people going mad for an air fryer, then came Coles’ Best Buys with a similar product - now it is Bunnings’ turn to introduce the popular item to their shelves for shoppers.
And with a huge range available online from as low as $99, including from well-known brands like Philips and Tefal, the offering is proving extremely popular already.
The Heller 1350W Air Fryer is the cheapest of the lot at just $99 and comes with a 30 minute timer and temperature controls from 80 to 200 degrees.
In the next price range a 13 litre electric option for $167 features a 60 minute timer and six presets (meat, poultry, fish, bake, chips and pizza). It also comes with a baking cage, rack, tongs and chicken rotisserie.
If you have the cash to splash, the Philips Air Fryer Twin TurboStar (800g) will cost you $329, and give you a “large cooking capacity” to serve up to four portions of food.
With plenty already out of stock it’s clear the move is popular with shoppers, after the news spread quickly across social media.
“Someone is listening to us,” one person wrote on Facebook.
“Get it before it’s sold out,” was another comment.
“That black and gold one though,” was another response.
Coles shoppers were recently left outraged after a $129 all-in-one oven and air fryer advertised in the supermarket’s new ‘Best Buys’ range sold out in a matter of seconds.
It was a similar scene in Aldi supermarkets across the country when their $149 23L air fryer oven went on sale as part of the German retail giant’s weekly Special Buys.
Aldi fans took to social media to report how their local stores were unable to keep up with customer demand.
“Disappointed that the store only had 7 air fryers and 50 people wanting it,” one wrote online.
It’s no surprise some of the Bunnings versions - only available via the website - have already begun to sell out so you better be quick.
