Bruce Springsteen Poses with Child Actor Playing Him in Upcoming Biopic with Jeremy Allen White
Jeremy Allen White plays Springsteen in the Scott Cooper film, slated for release this year
The Bosses are all together.
Bruce Springsteen posed with Jeremy Allen White — who is playing a younger version of Springsteen in the upcoming biopic about his life, titled Deliver Me from Nowhere — on the set of the film in Freehold, New Jersey, on Friday, Jan. 10.
They were joined by young actor Matthew Anthony Pellicano who is playing Springsteen as a child. All three were bundled up warmly against the chilly temperatures. For White, 33, this included a vintage Filson Army Waxed Tin Cloth trench coat.
Written and directed by Scott Cooper, Deliver Me from Nowhere will chronicle Springsteen, now 75, making his 1982 album Nebraska. The movie is adapted from Warren Zanes' 2023 rock biography, Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska.

White was first reported to be in talks to portray Springsteen in March. Since then, the actor, who recently won a Golden Globe for his starring role in The Bear for the third year in a row, has shared how excited he is to be part of the production.
He was absent from the Golden Globes ceremony because he was not in L.A., and instead on the opposite coast filming Deliver Me from Nowhere, PEOPLE previously confirmed.
Following his win at the Emmy Awards in September 2024, White began preparing to take on the role of Springsteen and said he was "pretty excited to start" the process as he revealed the singer had been "really lovely and supportive and available" in the lead-up to filming.
"[The support] has made this whole process, I think, such an extra joy that we have his support and Jon Landau — his manager's — support, who has a large role in the film as well. So I feel really lucky," White told reporters in the Emmys press room.

Soon after filming began in October 2024, Springsteen visited the set of the biopic. He and White were then snapped sharing a hug on set the following month.
Springsteen later praised White, whom he said "sings very well," during an appearance on SiriusXM's E Street Radio, as he said there's a "tremendous cast of people" involved.
"They cast the film beautifully, so it's very exciting," said the "Glory Days" hitmaker, adding that while it was "a little bit" weird at first to see someone else playing him, he got over that "pretty quick."
"Jeremy is such a terrific actor that you just fall right into it. He's got an interpretation of me that I think the fans will deeply recognize and he's just done a great job, so I've had a lot of fun," Springsteen said. "I've had a lot of fun being on the set when I can get there."
Deliver Me from Nowhere is slated for a 2025 theatrical release.
