Brody Jenner Wasn't Sure He Ever Wanted to Be a Dad. Then He Met His Fiancée Tia Blanco: 'She Was My Savior' (Exclusive)

The former reality star and Rewind It 10 spokesperson is opening up about finding true love with his surfer wife — and being a dad to their daughter Honey

Brody Jenner knows he's a lucky guy when it comes to matters of the heart.

The son of songwriter Linda Thompson and Caitlyn Jenner, 40, who previously starred on The Hills and its reboot, The Hills: New Beginnings (on which he documented his rocky marriage to Kaitlynn Carter), says he's found the real deal with pro surfer Tiarah "Tia" Blanco, 27.

"I got really lucky in that regard," he tells PEOPLE exclusively of his relationship. "Tia has just been my savior. She's just such an incredible mom and partner, so I got really lucky with her for sure. I'm glad that I held out and waited and was able to find the right person to start a family with."

The engaged couple, who went public with their relationship in May 2022, welcomed their daughter, Honey, last July. As for fatherhood, Jenner says he's absolutely in love with their 1-year-old — but for a long time, he wasn't even sure he wanted to be a dad.

"I think that I had a lot of friends that sort of influenced me to think that it was a lot harder than it is," he says of why he was hesitant to have kids.

"I didn't have very many friends around me that were loving their relationships. They sort of were like, 'Oh, this is so tough, and it's even harder with a kid.' So I think that influenced a lot of my decision-making. I didn't have that many people just saying, 'Parenthood is the best thing ever.' But it is the best thing ever."

He says Honey — who was named after Jessica Alba's character, Honey Daniels, in the star's 2003 film — is finally starting to sleep through the night.

"She was having trouble for quite some time, but now she's sleeping through the night and it's been going great," he says.

"I'm really enjoying fatherhood. I feel like it's just a new chapter, and Tia is amazing. She's just been an incredible mother. I know how lucky I am," Jenner emphasizes. "Becoming a parent is one of the most rewarding things I've ever done in my life."

Now in a good groove, Jenner adds that he and Blanco are already talking about having another baby — and he hopes they add another girl to the family.

"I had no idea how much I would enjoy it," he says of raising a daughter. "At first I thought maybe I want a boy to carry the name, all that stuff, and then when it was a girl, I don't know what it is, but I could have 10 more girls. I know Tia wants a boy next. I love being a girl dad. That relationship between the father and the daughter ... it's just incredible."
