Yahoo Lifestyle Brighton girl to be part of Children in Need choir
A girl from Sussex who survived cancer will be part of a choir for 2024's BBC Children in Need.
Bea Twardzik, now 12, was diagnosed when she was a toddler.
She was treated with chemotherapy which affected her hearing, and now wears a hearing aid.
Bea has been helped in her recovery by the Children with Cancer fund, which BBC Children in Need is working with.
The choir features 19 young people from across the country who have been helped by Children in Need.
It will perform Take That's Never Forget, under the guidance of renowned vocal coach and music arranger, Mark De Lisser.
Bea said: “It's really cool to be part of the BBC Children in Need Choir, I am enjoying learning the song as my parents knew it, but I didn't.
"I am looking forward to going to Manchester and meeting the others in the choir too.
"I am really happy to be supporting CWCF as they have been really helpful to me.”
Children with Cancer Fund offers a space for those who have experienced similar issues to meet.
It provides fun activities to build confidence, resilience and acceptance.
