Bride-to-be loses engagement ring moments after saying 'yes'

A bride-to-be has lost her engagement ring - after her fiancé dropped it in the sea just moments after she said "Yes".

Amber Toon was whisked away for a romantic break at the beach by her doting partner Michael Allen and the couple were enjoying the sea views when Michael proposed to a stunned Amber.

But the dream getaway in Tenby, Wales, took a turn for the worse when Michael accidentally dropped the £2,000-plus ($3.7K AUD) ROX-style ring into the sea.

"It was around 4.30pm on Saturday afternoon when it happened. I don't even know which part of the beach it was because it’s all a bit of a blur," the 27-year-old said.

Amber is now pleading for help to find her treasured rock ring.

"Obviously we’re over the moon to be engaged but it’s heartbreaking at the same time," she added.

It was the perfect proposal spot more than 200 miles from home because Amber used to visit the seaside town as a child. It held precious memories - until now.

"Michael took me to Tenby because I used to go a lot as a kid so he knows it’s a special place to me, but we live 4 hours away," Amber added.

The mum-of-two is now hoping beach goers may be able to find the engagement ring on Tenby South Beach.

The blue flag beach stretches a mile-and-a-half long with acres of sand to enjoy at low tide.
