A heartbroken bride has outed her cheating fiancé in the most brutal way possible – at their wedding ceremony in front of all their family and friends.
The woman, going by the name Casey, was one sleep away from marrying “the one” when she received a text message that would change everything.
“This was supposed to be the happiest day of my life, instead, I knew it was the end of my dream relationship and everyone was going to witness it,” Casey told Whimn.
She and partner Alex (name changed) had been together for six years, but while she was celebrating with her bridesmaids on her last night as a Miss, her phone buzzed with a message from a number she didn’t recognise.
While she expected well wishes and congratulations, the message actually contained a series of screenshots along with a message that said, ‘I wouldn’t marry him. Will you?’
The screenshots showed conversations between Casey’s husband-to-be and another woman, who she described as the “complete opposite” of her. They went back months, up until only a few days before.
Every message she said was a “dagger to her heart”. But the wedding was already paid for and all her friends and family had travelled there for it. So she hatched a plan.
“I was going to go ahead with the wedding as expected, and ‘out’ him in front of our friends and family,” she said.
No wedding today
Casey walked down the aisle in her wedding dress but when she got to the front, instead of reading her wedding vows she announced there would be “no wedding today”.
“It seems Alex is not who I thought he was,” she told everyone gathered, before she started reading out every single message he had sent to the ‘other’ woman.
Your body is f***ing incredible. And s** do you know how to use it. I wish my GF had half the skills you do.
I miss you so much…I’ve never had this kind of connection before.
Alex left the wedding in shame, but Casey told everyone the reception would now become a celebration of honesty and finding true love instead.
“It was certainly not the wedding day I had planned but to our credit, it was one hell of a party,” she said.
