The BFFs Podcast is making its highly anticipated return on Jan. 8, and co-host Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia is teasing how episodes will be "very different" in the wake of Dave Portnoy's departure from the show.

In a new TikTok posted on Tuesday, Jan. 7, the 25-year-old social media star gave viewers a glimpse of what to expect when her podcast with Josh Richards, 22, debuts. In the video, she is seen "making edit notes" on the first episode, while explaining the "multi-media" style that's to come.

"It's just so different. We're doing mixed media now," LaPaglia says in the clip before breaking down the unique format of the podcast. "In the beginning of every episode of BFFs, we are doing an activity and then we go into all of our segments."

The co-host revealed that Richards will "teach" her how to golf in one episode. Another segment will feature a lie detector, while another will include a "wheel" of sorts that involves whipped cream (which she says is "still" in her nose from filming). "It's just so fun," she says.

Filming in person will be another notable change to the podcast format in comparison to previous episodes. "That's the thing about the new BFFs. We want to do everything in person," reveals LaPaglia, who says she'll be in LA for a week and shoot "every day" with Richards.

Throughout the TikTok clip, LaPaglia expresses her desire to keep the videos as raw as possible and begs Richards not to nix anything that was shot. "I'm not cutting anything. I made like one edit because the audio was a little weird, and I just hope Josh doesn't cut anything," she says.

However, the content creator admits that she doesn't have total control. "I don't have that power over him. It's more so like he does what he wants, I'll do what I want," she explains. "I'm not cutting anything... which I'm kind of scared about."

The upcoming release of BFFs marks the first episode since Portnoy left his co-hosting duties alongside the duo now at the helm. The Barstool Sports founder, 47, started the podcast with Richards in 2020, while LaPaglia — who was already hosting PlanBri Uncut — joined them later that year.

The last episode that featured the trio, titled, "Dave Portnoy Says Goodbye to BFFs" was released on Dec. 18. "It's been a great run... have a great life everybody," Portnoy said as his final appearance wrapped.

Meanwhile, LaPaglia — who released her last episode of PlanBri Uncut alongside Grace O'Malley on Oct. 10 last year — said in her latest TikTok that she is stoked about returning to her podcast duties in the wake of her break.

"I haven't talked in a podcast in like, how long?" LaPaglia said, before joking that she was really only "quiet for a couple weeks." However, since she was so used to a non-stop filming schedule, she admitted that the break "feels like a lifetime" to her.

"I have had three podcast episodes a week for the past five years," she notes. "It's so nice and fun and good to be back at it. I'm just so excited I can't sleep over it... I'm excited about it and I haven't been excited about something in so long."

LaPaglia stresses again, "Josh, don't cut anything," while concluding, "Give the people what they want."
