As more and more parents and carers around the world come to grips with educating their little ones from home due to coronavirus, one boy has outed his mum’s teaching struggles in hilarious fashion.

“It is not going good,” eight-year-old Ben from Kentucky, US, solemnly wrote in his journal after just one day of homeschooling or ‘homed school’ as he called it.

‘My moms [sic] getting stressed out. My mom is really getting confused,” he continued of his mother, Candice Hunter Kennedy’s, efforts.

Homeschooling hiccup

Ben then revealed that his parent-turned-teacher was forced to call time on lessons in order to hit the books herself - no shame there! - but that he wasn’t feeling confident.

“We took a break so my mom can figure this stuff out. And I’m telling you it is not going good,” he wrote.

Luckily, Candice found her boy’s confession hilarious and even shared a snap of the handwritten note on Facebook to the delight of many who are facing similarly stressful homeschooling situations.

“I’m about to go crazy with my 3 kids,” wrote one fellow homeschooling ‘teacher’.

“I can relate, Ben's mom. I can relate,” said another.

One of the 11 thousand or so commenters checked in with Candice for an update and received a surprisingly upbeat reply.

“So did you figure it all out, or are things still not going good?” they enquired.

“It’s a work in progress. But we did have a breakthrough today with my 7th grader’s Geometry work,” Candice responded.
