Boy Swallows Universe star unrecognisable in resurfaced Calvin Klein modelling shots

Former Calvin Klein model Travis Fimmel has stunned fans after appearing in Netflix's new Australian series Boy Swallows Universe and looking completely unrecognisable to his former underwear model self.

The actor, 44, was 22 years old when he became the first male model to land a deal that had him posing exclusively for Calvin Klein in 2002. Travis' billboards are said to have caused traffic jams in LA as people slowed down to look at his photos.

Travis also appeared on several magazine covers, and it's believed that Sex and the City's Jerry 'Smith' Jerrod was inspired by the young model.

In 2003, he began acting, appearing as Tarzan in the TV series of the same name. He continued acting and landed the role of Ragnar Lothbrok in the TV series Vikings, quickly becoming a fan favourite.

More recently, he appeared in Stan's Black Snow and C*A*U*G*H*T, and now in Boy Swallows Universe, Travis looks incredibly different to his modelling days, with his character sporting a more rugged look.

Fans on Twitter don't mind the new look, however, with one user writing, "Still handsome as ever."

"I'd know that beautiful man anywhere," another added.

"He looks great as always and for the role he's playing," a third said.

Fans also loved his performance in the show, with someone else adding, "Loved him in this, such great acting."
