Blue Merle Frenchie Reunites with Dad at Airport After Weeks Apart, Sparking Joy for All

A dog can't hide their feelings when something makes them truly happy. It's always the purest, realest reaction because they don't know how to fake it. For a French Bulldog named Champie, happiness is seeing her dad after he's been away far too long, and now her heart is full again.

Luckily, @champie.thefrenchie caught the sweet reunion between the two because it's total sunshine. Champie's cute little wiggle dance sparks so much joy, you can't help but smile. Watch her greet Dad below!

In the video that says, "Watch Champie see her daddy after 3 weeks," the sweet Frenchie waits patiently in a busy airport. As the crowd thins, she spots the one person who makes her world go 'round—Dad!

Her joy is infectious as she runs right up to him and does the cutest little wiggle dance in his arms. She can't contain her excitement. He's really here - and it's such a great moment!

"Her favorite person is back home. Love her happy dance," the caption reads.

With more than 28,000 likes, this brief but profound clip is truly the epitome of a dog's love for her people, and everyone's here for it.

"The way it fills everyone around them with joy, too. So pure," one person said.

"That's the best feeling in the world. No human ever greets u like that (unconditional luv)," another said.

"The full-body wiggle! Dad is loved," another added.

We're so glad Champie and her person are back together. Hopefully, she got lots of cuddles to make up for lost time.

Signs Your Dog Missed You

Not all dogs do the wiggle dance like Champie when reunited with their pet parent, but Dogster notes other signs that suggest they missed you. Depending on your dog's personality, they might get the zoomies, or "frapping," which is "frenetic random activity periods." This is when they're so excited, they run or spin in circles. It's literal happiness bursting through them!

If they're a little clingier than normal upon your return, or they've been snuggling with things that have your scent on them, they clearly missed you! Dogs associate your special scent with positive feelings, and they may have been trying to self-soothe to deal with your absence. Likewise, they'll want to be right by your side when you return to make sure you don't go away again.

If they became destructive while you were away, guarded the door, or tried to escape to find you (aww!), there are things you can do to alleviate these negative behaviors the next time you go by keeping them busy with other activities, exercise, leaving some of your scent-covered things around, hiring a pet sitter or dog walker to spend time with them, and making sure they're comfortable. Preparation before you leave will help them transition a little easier.

The good news is, when you finally return, they'll show you exactly how much they missed you, just like Champie!
