Blink-182 shocks with X-rated reveal: 'Weird'

Pop punk band Blink-182 has caused a stir online after sharing an X-rated announcement on Twitter.

The iconic trio revealed they were going on tour, but the announcement was littered with sexual innuendos.

"We're coming. Tour's coming. Album's coming. Tom's coming. Tickets on sale Monday. New song 'Edging' out Friday," the tweet said.

The band also shared a video of fans announcing the world tour, all while putting an emphasis on the word "coming".

A baseball player is seen rubbing a bat as he says, "If they're gonna come, I better start stretching", while a woman sunbaking in a bikini also adds: "If I'm being totally honest, I cannot stop thinking about them coming."

While some fans were excited about the announcement, others slammed the trio for the sexual innuendos.

"Ew. What a weird ad promoting sexualising women for views," one commented.

"Is this meant to be funny? It’s the sort of thing an 11-year-old boy would giggle at," another said.

"Glad to know when we are in our 50s we'll still be making c*m jokes," a third added.

The band is known for shocking with its explicit lyrics, with the trio releasing a number of songs about controversial sex acts in the past.

Fans shared their excitement Tom DeLonge would be joining the tour after he left the band in 2015. He has again reunited with band members Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus for the tour next year, which will see the band play in North America, Europe, Australia, to name a few.

The trio's new single Edging will be the first song the trio has released in a decade.

The tour will begin on March 11 in Tijuana in Mexico, with the band then travelling to Peru, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Colombia and Brazil for the remainder of the month before touring North America and Canada in May.

Blink-182 will perform throughout Europe in September and October before heading to Australia and New Zealand in February 2024 to wrap up the tour.
