‘Bling Empire: New York’ Star Lynn Ban Dead at 52 After Sudden Health Battle
Lynn Ban, a jewelry designer who starred in the reality TV show Bling Empire: New York, died on Monday, Jan. 20. She was 52.
Ban's son Sebastian, confirmed by her on Wednesday, Jan. 22, with an emotional message on Instagram.
Sebastian began, "My mum passed away on Monday...Many of you followed my mum but never got the chance to know her or meet her in person. I would like to take the chance to share who my mum really was."
"She was and always will be my best friend, the best mother to me, and someone who cared for all. She always had a smile on her face even when times were tough during her recovery process. She was a fighter until the end and is the strongest woman I know," he continued.
Ban's son also noted how much she cared for those around her, before adding, "Although she may be gone now, I will do everything I can to make sure she is never forgotten and for her life to be celebrated as it deserves to be."

Sebastian concluded with a direct message to his late mother, writing, "I would just like to say that I will miss you forever and to end in something she always told me 'I love you more than life itself' mum."
At the end of December, Ban revealed on Instagram that she got into a skiing accident. She explained that after a fall on the mountain, she was cleared by ski patrol but still had a headache, leading her to get checked out by a paramedic.
She and her husband, Jett Kain, were instructed to get a CAT scan, which led doctors to discover a brain bleed. As a result, Ban was airlifted to a trauma hospital, intubated, and underwent emergency brain surgery.

Lynn ended the message with, "There’s a long road of recovery ahead but I’m a survivor and grateful to ski patrol, the incredible team of doctors and nurses and the ❤️and support my family and friends 🙏🏼 GOD IS GOOD 🙏🏼 Grateful and blessed to see the new year 🎉🙌🏻."
Sebastian did not share any further details about his mother's death.
