Blake Lively’s publicist files motion to be dismissed from Justin Baldoni lawsuit

NEW YORK — Blake Lively’s publicist Leslie Sloane is asking to be released from Justin Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit against them and Ryan Reynolds.

Lawyers for the Vision PR owner filed the motion to dismiss Thursday, according to court documents obtained by the Daily News.

Sloane’s legal team is also asking Judge Lewis Liman to award them legal fees under New York’s anti-SLAPP law, which protects against lawsuits intended to suppress free speech — particularly those filed by people with bottomless funds.

Sloane is also looking to strike Baldoni’s 168-page “timeline … of key events” from his amended complaint, filed earlier this month.

In late December, Lively accused her “It Ends With Us” director and co-star of sexual harassment on the set of the film, followed by a retaliatory smear campaign. Days later, Baldoni filed a $250 million libel lawsuit against The New York Times for its deep-dive coverage of the complaint, which included text messages of his alleged plan to “bury” Lively if she went public with her claims.

Last month, Baldoni sued Lively, husband Ryan Reynolds and publicist Sloane for alleged defamation and civil extortion. He accused the trio of leveling the sexual harassment claims after Lively tried to leverage her and Reynolds’ A-list status and initiate a takeover of the blockbuster film.

In her amended lawsuit, filed late Tuesday, Lively added a new claim for defamation while also referencing two unnamed actresses who she said can corroborate her claims of an “uncomfortable” and “toxic set.”

The case is currently slated to head to court in early March 2026, though Liman said he could move it up if Lively and Baldoni’s legal teams don’t scale things back and play nice in the court of public opinion.
