"Whether it's playing one of his documentaries for our daughter Grace, feeding the crocodiles at the Australia Zoo, nights like tonight," she shared, referencing the annual fundraising gala, "I think it's so important to remember that we all deal with grief in different ways."
Bindi went on to reveal she firmly believes that surrounding oneself with loved ones and embracing the opportunity to commemorate a person's life can provide immense comfort and healing.

Now 24 years old, Bindi eloquently expresses the profound impact of losing a loved one, having experienced the heartbreaking loss of her legendary father Steve, star of the Crocodile Hunter and cherished Australian icon, when she was just eight years old when he was fatally stung by a stingray.
Bindi's birthday tribute to Steve
Bindi left fans in tears in February with a tribute to her dad Steve Irwin on what would have been his 61st birthday.
"Happy Birthday, Dad," she wrote alongside a photo of herself and Steve when she was young. "Thank you for instilling a love for all species, courage to follow my heart and determination to make a difference in the world for wildlife and wild places."
She continued, "Your legacy lives on and the world is forever changed because of your dedication to conservation. Mum, Robert and I love and miss you so much."
Fans shared comments, telling Bindi how Steve had left a lasting impression on them, with one user writing, "Sweetest picture, making me cry. l’m sure he’s so proud of his baby girl and what a good mama and person you are! Happy birthday to your dear dad."
