Bill Maher recently made a bold jab at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship—and Swifties were quick to rush to the couple's defense.

“This world is so upside down now. It took Trump three weeks to break up with Ukraine and Mexico, and Canada," Maher declared.

He added, “And yet, Taylor Swift has the same boyfriend for over a year.”

On X, fans of the "So High School" singer rushed to her defense.

One Swiftie wrote, "What is Bill Mahers problem with Taylor Swift? She seriously lives rent free in his head."

To that, a different X user replied, "He’s a misogynist. he’s bothered by Taylor’s existence and success because he cannot fathom how she can achieve what she has without catering to the male gaze and by writing exclusively about the female experience."

Another person shared via X, "He has always been terrible. He thinks he is the smartest guy in the room at all times."

Meanwhile, someone else pointed out, "She's never once disrespected this man, so whats his deal."

This isn't the first time Maher has taken aim at Swift and Kelce. During a February episode of his Club Random podcast, the comedian brought up Swift's relationship history while talking about her music with Luke Bryan.

"Yeah, the music either works or it doesn't. But as a human, I have great admiration, because to be that far up in the stratosphere and not be doing anything stupid, be still a good role model, basically. You know, she's had a bunch of boyfriends…" Maher said.

In response, Bryan pointed out, "The only thing people can say about her [is] she's had boyfriends? Then she goes and lands Travis Kelce and then it's like, 'Oh my gosh, she's crushing it.'"

Additionally, Maher predicted Swift and Kelce's relationship wouldn't last.

"Travis is not the keeper—he's just not," he claimed. "I mean, he's not yet ready to be house-trained. He's not. And he's going to be coming off another Super Bowl."

Swift and Kelce went public with their relationship in September 2023 after connecting that summer. Despite ongoing rumors, the couple has not publicly announced an engagement.

Before Kelce, Swift dated actor Joe Alwyn for six years.
