Beyoncé Delays January 14 Announcement Due To L.A. Wildfires
Beyoncé has delayed today’s mystery announcement due to the L.A. wildfires, for which she has donated $2.5M to the relief effort.
The superstar had shared a cryptic video of her riding a white horse on Christmas day, which ended with today’s date, leading to frenzied speculation over what could be next. Many assumed she would be announcing tour dates in support of last year’s hit Cowboy Carter album.

However, she took to Instagram early this L.A. morning to say the reveal will be delayed “to a later date.”
“The January 14th announcement will be postponed to a later date due to the devastation caused by the ongoing wildfires around areas of Los Angeles,” she wrote. “I continue to pray for healing and rebuilding for the families suffering from trauma and loss. We are so blessed to have brave first responders who continue to work tirelessly to protect the Los Angeles community.”
In the comments section of the post, she wrote that the BeyGOOD LA Fire Relief Fund has so far donated $2.5M to families who have lost their homes and to community organizations at the forefront of relief.
Beyoncé is the latest of a series of big names and organizations to donate to the wildfire relief as the devastating fires, which have uprooted hundreds of thousands, move into their second week.
