PALM GROVE STORY
Mark Daish bought his property 30 years ago in Babinda, in the foothills of Mt Bellenden Ker in Queensland’s tropical mid-north coast and, although he started with a blank canvas he now has one of Australia’s best collections of palms. He has collected palms from the rainforests of Papua New Guinea and South-East Asia, as well as Australian palms, growing most of his collection from seed. Mark is now scaling back on his commercial business so contact your local nursery for advice, but if you’re desperate to ask him a question you can email him at mark.daish@bigpond.com
