A Beloved Snickers Flavor Is Back After 5 Years

And this time, it's here to stay.

In the candy world, we see brands innovating and updating all the time. From chocolate cookie-and-caramel Reese’s to fall-flavored M&M’s, there’s never a slow news day in the candy department (and we haven’t even hit Halloween yet).

But, as much as we love new and trending flavors, it’s also fun to see old favorites come back through the production cycle—especially when those original candy launches were so elusive, we never even had the chance to try them in the first place.

Snickers Officially Launches New Pecan Flavor

We first met the Snickers Pecan as a special-edition item in September 2019, and, believe it or not, it was born out of fans’ requests. The candy brand asked consumers which nut they’d like to see featured next, and out of cashews, pistachios, and macadamia nuts, pecans took the top spot.

The pecan bar was also originally launched as an ode to Texas, the state where many of the original Snickers bars were produced. The packaging even sported the phrases “Texas Proud” and “Fixin’ to Satisfy.”

But, only a few lucky fans got an exclusive taste of the pecan candy. The bars were sold online in 15-packs for $30, and the limited-edition boxes were sold out completely by the end of the launch day.

Now, the nutty variety is back for the fall season (with a whole new look), but this time, as a permanent addition to the Snickers portfolio, giving fans another sweet way to satisfy hunger. We’ve had Snickers Almond, Snickers Hazelnut, and even Snickers Peanut Butter, but now, it’s time for another beloved nut to take the spotlight.

Snickers Pecan has “the perfect blend of caramel, nougat and milk chocolate, now complimented by the savory-sweetness of pecans,” a brand representative shared in an email. It will still have the buttery, chocolatey richness you love from the original bar, but with a new flavor and texture from the tree nut—almost like an old-fashioned turtle candy.

“Pecan Snickers?! I'm buying the entire box if I ever see these in person,” shared one Reddit user.

With pecan being one of our favorite seasonal flavors, this unique new bar is the perfect way to kickstart our celebration of fall. But, at the same time, we’re also thrilled to know it will be available long after the season ends.

According to a representative, the candy will be on shelves the third week of August in Walmart,Dollar General, and convenience stores nationwide. But, some lucky fans have already discovered it on store shelves, reporting that it’s “worth the hunt.”

So, now you don’t have to beeline for the store to get a taste of the seasonal treat—it’ll be around for the long haul. But then again, if you’ve “stalked these since 2019” like some fans, nobody’s stopping you.
