Bella Hadid's Barely-There Dior LBD Plunged All the Way to Her Belly Button
She's in her vintage John Galliano era.
Vintage style queen Bella Hadid is digging back into the archives to celebrate the launch of her new Orebella scent. As the model-turned-perfumer kicked off the weekend with a girls' gathering in the woods, she dressed to the nines in a barely-there Dior LBD that plunged down past her belly button.
While Hadid has been leaning into the cowgirl aesthetic all summer, she went for a decidedly glam look in one of her favorite designers. The Christian Dior gown, which is by John Galliano from the Spring 2003 collection, featured a halterneck design, ruching at the waist, and a sultry, skin-baring cut-out that ended in ruching at her lower midriff. The LBD also had a very noughties asymmetrical hemline that was flanked by ruffles on either side, showing off a pair of strappy gold sandal heels that wrapped up her leg. Hadid channeled a Greek goddess for her beauty look, wearing her dark locks in tight curls and a relaxed updo with lots of face-framing pieces on each side. A large ruby pendant necklace from Calypso Studios, gold metallic eyeshadow, slightly flushed cheeks, and a glossy nude lip completed Hadid’s stunning look.
The Victoria’s Secret alum shared some sizzling snaps of the barely-there outfit on Instagram, posing with her new Nightcap scent against a tree, candidly laughing with a group of women on a wooden platform, and getting an astrological chart reading from Aliza Kelly. She also posted a few photos of the gathering, including martinis with smoke coming out of them and a centerscape decorated with purple crystals.
Hadid’s black LBD was almost identical to another John Galliano look that she wore just days earlier. The model wore a blush pink Christian Dior look that was also from the 2003 collection, and it also featured a halter-style design, a plunging neckline, and a knotted detail in the front. Hadid, who shared a photo of the baby pink ensemble on her Instagram story, also wore her hair in a curly updo and paired the dress with a Marina Moscone gold floral necklace and white sandals.
Only time will tell whether Hadid’s more casual cowgirl chic era is over, but the model definitely knows how to style a vintage Y2K piece.
