Bella Hadid looked as though she stepped out of the ‘70s as she attended the launch party of Chopard’s new “Ice Cube” collection in Dubai last week. For the occasion, she debuted a fresh set of choppy bangs alongside something more familiar: a thematic vintage gown.
The supermodel looked incredible as she stepped out in an ornate couture dress from Elie Saab’s spring 2004 runway show. Adorned with swirls of silver sequins and cascading chiffon ribbons, the transparent ‘fit called back to Cher’s signature slinky silhouettes, which Bella leaned into with her styling (and, of course, long straightened locks).
She accented the gown’s plunging neckline and leg slit with Chopard jewels, wearing a gold choker, matching watch, and a smattering of gold rings. Her glam mimicked the radiance of her ensemble with a bronzed glow, sultry black eyeliner, and a glossy brown lip.
Naturally, the model and her stylist, Molly Dickson, prepared more than one vintage outfit for Bella’s stay in Dubai. For a second Chopard event, the celeb slipped into a chic Thierry Mugler look from the ‘80s, this time emulating the decade’s power office uniform.
She donned a black shirt dress buttoned up to the top and cinched her waist with a thick patent leather belt. For accessories, Bella flaunted the same Chopard jewelry as before and added a diamond watch to her wrist.
The weekend prior, the supermodel was spotted in New York City showing off her high-fashion horsegirl style. Since then, it seems Bella has added bangs to her hair, embracing the choppy, face-framing look once popularized by celebrities like Cher and Jane Birkin. The vintage-inspired haircut seems to be a perfect match for the icon and her stable of archival pieces.
