Bath-Loving Cat Finds Perfect Zen with Yellow Rubber Ducky

If you've never had a cat who enjoyed getting wet, it can be hard to imagine that one does. However, many cats like swimming and spending time with their families on boats. Some even jump into pools to cool off on a summer day. It's easy to understand why social cats find those activities just as fun as we do.

Even taking a dip in a warm tub can be inviting for some felines, especially when they have their rubber ducky to unwind with. This adorable cat's relaxing routine could be a commercial for a bubble bath!

Check out this water-loving Tabby in a video from August 15:

I’m always amazed when I see cats that love water, but this precious Tabby takes bath time to a new level. Biscuit (@abecinema) seemed perfectly content with the world when he grabbed his yellow ducky and held it in his arms. This is his Zen place, and he’s loving every moment. We should all be fortunate to find an activity where we feel equally at peace. While some people expressed concern that he wasn’t happy, he can be seen getting into the tub on his own in other videos, showing it’s his choice to be there.

Can Cats Be Taught to Like Water?

Some cats may never like water, no matter when they are introduced to it, but according to Catster, kittens are more open to new experiences. So, getting them used to water at a young age can help them become more accustomed to it as they grow. Gradually increasing their exposure by letting them play with a dripping faucet or gently wetting their paws with a damp cloth can also help them become familiar with the situation. Creating positive associations by giving them high-value treats and lots of praise is also essential. Although some cats are naturally more inclined to enjoy water, most require patience and encouragement to embrace it. If your cat resists baths, forcing the issue will not likely result in them becoming fans.

People were amazed by this water-loving feline. Viewer @leereidjr responded, “So cool. If I attempted this with my cats, I’d be in the ER getting stitches.” That’s how my cats would have reacted as well. Viewer @swtjerseymama remarked, “My cat would kill me in my sleep if I did this.” Most would retaliate in that fashion. Viewer @marilynroseinteriors responded, “He loves his rubber ducky!” His face couldn’t be more content when he held it in his arms.

This water-loving feline should inspire us all to take a few moments to find our happy place. Whether in a warm tub, sitting outside in the summer air, or curled up with our favorite books, it’s always good to carve out a few minutes of happiness each day.
