Aussie designer's barely-there swimsuit takes risqué trend to the next level

A show stopping one-piece swimsuit has turned Instagram’s collective head thanks to a design which leaves very little to the imagination.

The bathers in question were made by Sydney-based designer Karen Hurley who coined its name, Daisy, thanks to the strategically placed petals over the chest.

Hallmarked by the pink covering and a string-style structure, the suit pulls off its head-turning effect thanks to an undeniably unique aesthetic.

However, the look is one of several offered by the brand which all follow its reputation of barely-there suits.

Designer Karen opened up about her line’s creative strategy last week, telling Yahoo Lifestyle it’s geared towards those more inclined to bare all.

“Confident women who like to wear something a bit different and make a statement,” she says in reference to her brand’s customer base.

“It’s usually girls in their 20s or 30s who buy my more daring pieces.

Online, buyers have also banded around the barely-there bathers, labelling it everything from ‘daring’ to ‘scandalous’.

But despite the seemingly never-ending stream of risqué ensembles, Karen suspects the pendulum may soon swing in the opposite direction.

“I think it will go back to more vintage or traditional styling in the next couple of seasons,” she said.
