The BAFTAs 2025: the 10 best-dressed stars
The 2025 BAFTAs took place this evening in London, and brought some of Hollywood's biggest names to The Royal Festival Hall as they all celebrated another brilliant year in film.
We were of course watching the red carpet closely, and there was much to admire – from heavily embellished Schiaparelli (courtesy of Selena Gomez), to crystal-encrusted Alexander McQueen (seen on Demi Moore), and sculptural Saint Laurent (as worn by Zoe Saldaña). More classic, minimalist looks came courtesy of Mikey Madison in Prada, Felicity Jones in Armani Privé and Saoirse Ronan in Louis Vuitton.
Below, we round up our 10 favourite fashion moments from British film's big night. To see every single look from the red carpet, head here.
Demi Moore in Alexander McQueen
Demi Moore, who is being celebrated for her performance in The Substance, arrived at the Royal Festival Hall in a backless crystal-encrusted Alexander McQueen gown in a multitude of colours, which almost had a stained-glass window effect. She finished her maximalist look with De Beers diamonds.
Zoe Saldaña in Saint Laurent
Zoe Saldaña, nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Emilia Perez, turned heads in her striking lace Saint Laurent gown, which featured an exaggerated tulle neckline that wrapped theatrically round her shoulders.
Saoirse Ronan in Louis Vuitton
Saoirse Ronan cut a statuesque figure on the red carpet in her custom Louis Vuitton look, featuring a sleek A-line crepe cady gown with a satin stole that sat over the top like a cape – all in a soft pale green. Her bold red lip provided added drama.
Monica Barbaro in Armani Privé
A Complete Unknown's Monica Barbaro arrived at the BAFTAs in a Giorgio Armani Privé gown covered in draped crystal embroidery. The dress was first shown on the spring/summer 2025 couture catwalk in January, and is the first look from that show to appear on the red carpet. She styled the dress with Bulgari jewellery.
Selena Gomez in Schiaparelli
Selena Gomez also opted for some serious sparkle on the BAFTAs red carpet, in a heavily embellished silver Schiaparelli gown, with a black off-the-shoulder bust. She completed her look with an assortment of Tiffany & Co jewellery.
Mikey Madison in Prada
Anora star Mikey Madison brought a dose of glamour in her strapless Prada gown, which she wore with a matching satin wrap that trailed behind her as she walked. Additional sparkle came courtesy of Tiffany & Co.
Pamela Anderson in Jacquemus
Pamela Anderson cut a graceful figure on the BAFTAs red carpet in a fitted, ruched Jacquemus gown that featured an extra-long train. She added matching pointed pumps and a dazzling diamond necklace.
Naomi Ackie in Versace
Naomi Ackie proved that sometimes the simplest looks can be the most impactful, arriving at the awards ceremony in a high-shine chainmail Versace dress that featured a sculptural shoulder strap, in a metallic chocolate-brown hue.
Felicity Jones in Armani Privé
Felicity Jones always keeps it classic when it comes to red-carpet attire, and her look for the 2025 BAFTAs was no exception. The actress – who is nominated for her role in The Brutalist – stepped out in this immaculately cut Armani Privé dress, which featured a soft, tulip-shaped overlay.
Ariana Grande in Louis Vuitton
Ariana Grande brought some serious drama to the 2025 BAFTAs. Her Louis Vuitton gown featured a fitted, low-cut black bodice, which cascaded out into a voluminous pink tiered taffeta skirt.
