Yrigoyen left his season engaged to Becca Kufrin. However, the couple called off their engagement, announcing in September 2020 that they were separated.
A few days after their season premiered, Yrigoyen was immersed in a social media firestorm after news broke that he had previously liked a series of highly inflammatory Instagram posts, including some that were racist and homophobic.
At the time, Yrigoyen apologized and later said he stood by his previous apology and that Kufrin had “helped me through everything" on an After the Final Rose episode of the series.
Yrigoyen and his wife Alex tied the knot on November 3, 2023 in Oahu, Hawaii. They shared photos from their wedding on their respective Instagrams.
