The Bachelorette's Angie throws Carlin a dirty look on live TV

It’s less than a week since Angie Kent poured out her heart to Carlin Sterritt on The Bachelorette Australia finale, calling the 30-year-old her ‘perfect guy’.

However, things between the lovebirds looked a little tense last night when they appeared on Channel 10 show, Have You Been Paying Attention, with Carlin confessing to something that made Angie throw a filthy look in his direction.

Host of the show, Tom Gleisner, asked Angie all about her new book, If You Don’t Laugh You’ll Cry, with Angie jokingly telling him: “It’s not an autobiography because I am only 12.”

Comedian and panellist Peter Helliar couldn’t let the joke go by and asked Carlin if that was news to him.

Carlin could be seen laughing awkwardly as Angie tried to swiftly move on, saying she’s just ‘an everyday gal’ who’s ‘gone through some stuff’ and the book is supposed to be life lessons from your best friend.

But Peter Helliar was on a roll and decided to ask Carlin if he’d read the book, which caused a bit of a kerfuffle in the studio.

“Not yet, I’m waiting for my signed copy,” Carlin responded, shuffling around on his feet as Angie looked thoroughly unimpressed with her new love.

She could then be seen half-jokingly thrusting the book in his direction, saying: “This is for you”.

As if that moment wasn’t awkward enough, when the pair were asked how close they came to revealing their relationship when they weren’t supposed to, Carlin launched into a story about how his housemate had walked in on him having a call with Angie on loudspeaker.

“Her voice, you know, you can kind of tell,” Carlin said, to which Angie then chimed in saying: “It’s annoying”.

Carlin replied saying: “I wasn’t going to say it but yeah.”

While the panel couldn’t stop laughing, Angie agreed with Carlin, saying that her voice is ‘like a foghorn’ and ‘there’s no hiding it’.

The couple’s appearance on the show comes after they declared their love for each other on TV last Wednesday, with Angie telling a clearly delighted Carlin: “There’s no doubt in my mind that you are the perfect guy for me.”

“I am completely falling in love with you,” she added, pulling him in for a kiss.

Carlin was momentarily lost for words but revealed that he’d fallen for Angie, too.

“I’m just so happy right now,” he said.
