“Bachelorette” Alum Trista Sutter Reveals Which Reality Shows She Would Do After “Special Forces” (Exclusive)
"I'm open to all of it," Trista tells PEOPLE of returning to reality TV after withdrawing from 'Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test'

Trista Sutter isn’t ready to hang up her hat when it comes to reality TV.
Despite withdrawing from the competition on the Jan. 15 episode of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, the inaugural Bachelorette star, 52, tells PEOPLE she wouldn’t mind another shot at the grueling Fox reality show.
“I would do Special Forces again if they asked me, just because part of me regrets leaving,” she shares. “Even though I keep reminding myself, ‘You didn't like being a burden. You felt at peace. You didn't get hurt permanently, and maybe you would have,’ but I kind of feel like I would do it again.”
However, it’s not only a return to Special Forces that would bring Trista back to television screens.
“I would love to do Traitors,” she says, referring to the Peacock's Emmy-nominated psychological reality competition series, which challenges faithful contestants to sniff out a number of secret saboteurs among them in an effort to win a cash prize. “I mean, that seems like so much fun. And they have challenges on there too.”
The mom of two is also open to other opportunities because Special Forces “wasn't around back when I was first on reality television, so you never know what other shows are going to come out.”
“I'm open to all of it,” she adds before sharing that should also be open to joining the cast of Deal or No Deal Island. She added that the series, which is hosted by Joe Manganiello, is “so fun.”
As fans may recall, Trista is no stranger to reality TV. She was the runner-up on season 1 of The Bachelor in 2002 before becoming the first-ever Bachelorette.
On the inaugural season of The Bachelorette, she met her now-husband, Ryan Sutter. The pair went on to tie the knot in the franchise's first ever televised wedding in 2003, which was watched by 26 million viewers. Now, the couple is parents to two children — a son, Maxwell, and daughter, Blakesley.
Despite her decision to withdraw from Special Forces, Trista says Ryan is “proud of me.”
“I think he was proud of me back then when I said yes [to the show] and I know he's proud of me now,” she says. “I think vicariously, he would've loved to live through me... To continue on in the show. But we've talked about it and it's hard because the way that I left, I was really at peace with leaving.”
“I was in a really bad place after the beach,” she continues. “Hypothermic shock is no joke. My lips were turning blue. I was turning blue and couldn't lift my head, had lockjaw. It was really scary.”
The television personality adds that Ryan “knows when I left and why I left, and he keeps reminding me, ‘You, thank God, didn't get permanently hurt.’”
While noting that the hypothermic shock was “pretty temporary,” she was worried about “what could have happened afterwards.”
“He's my biggest fan and he's proud of me,” she concludes. “But I kind of wish I could have made him more proud.”
