“The Bachelor”'s Juan Pablo Galavis' daughter auditions for “American Idol”

Fourteen-year-old Camila Galavis created a mini-crossover moment for ABC.

American Idol fans were probably feeling a little old this weekend when The Bachelor star Juan Pablo Galavis' 14-year-old daughter auditioned.

During Sunday's auditions, Camila Galavis stepped in front of the judges and revealed she was the daughter of the divisive Bachelor contestant. Camila was just 4 when her father was on the reality dating competition and now she's on TV, attempting to wow judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie.

Perry asked if Juan Pablo was trying to throw his daughter into TV's "lion's den," but Camila said it was the "complete opposite" and that auditioning for Idol was very much her idea.

With her dad in the room, the high school freshman launched into Joaquina's "Rabia," a song in Spanish.

While Camila impressed the judges, Perry was quick to point out that she still sounds young. Bryan offered similar criticism, but added, "The right producer, right now, could take your voice and cut a hit album on you, right now. But, in this competition, you're going to get swallowed up a little bit."

Richie started the voting with a no. Perry followed with a surprising yes after her criticism, but said Camilla's "pop voice" and popular Spanish music choice swayed her decision.

Bryan cast the deciding vote, saying he wrote "no" on his paper, but convinced himself otherwise by talking about how she has a "radio voice."

Bryan — undoubtedly to the delight of ABC, the show's producers, and fans of corporate synergy — switched to a yes, advancing Camila to Hollywood. "I wrote no on my page, but then I told you the right producer could make you a hit song,” he said. “So, I’m giving you a yes just based on that because you've got a radio tone.”

Camilla is now the youngest contestant on this season of American Idol.

Undoubtedly proud of his daughter, Juan Pablo, a former professional soccer player, appeared on a 2013 season of The Bachelorette before being chosen as the first Latino star of The Bachelor the following year.

He was one of the show's most controversial leads when he made homophobic statements, which prompted ABC and production company Warner Horizon to issue a statement, calling his words "careless, thoughtless, and insensitive." He later apologized.
