The Eurovision Song Contest is known for bringing out the whacky side of performers who take to the stage, but the Australian entrant for this years’ show has blown the others out of the water.

So much so, that Kate Miller-Heidke, who ended up placing ninth in the singing competition, has become an internet sensation all over the world for her performance of her song, Zero Gravity.

Kate and her backing dancers were suspended on 16ft swaying poles for the duration of the song, amidst a sea of dry ice.

However it wasn’t enough for them to take out the top prize, with The Netherlands being crowned winners on the might.

Held in Tel-Aviv, Israel, this year the competition featured a number of high-production performances and of course the eye-popping performance by Kate Miller-Heidkem, which scored her a spot in this weekend’s grand final.
