"Always keep your passport in a case and then put that case in a ziplock bag or a clear bag," she says.

"I know it seems like a lot but a damaged passport will literally ruin your holiday," she adds.

The Iconic has a great range of passport holders including the Kinnon's Earle passport holder, $159, that will last years.

You won't be embarrassed to pull out your passport with this luxe holder and it also comes with a matching luggage tag.

If you like the personalised touch, the Mon Purse monogrammed passport holder from Olivia and Co is great value at $85.95.

Rosalie says the passport case is to protect the passport pages from getting bent or torn and the plastic bag is to stop spills and water from ruining the passport.

She also says that good quality clear bags are great for carrying liquids and gels through airport security and keep your cosmetics together.

She recommends the clear bags from Style Her Luxe which start at $19.99 for a single pouch and $49.99 for a set of three.

But she also suggests carrying a change of clothes in a large clear bag, so that you can easily find things and so if your luggage gets lost, you have an outfit to change in to.

"I always have my favourite linen dress and then another outfit, a cardigan, a spare pair of underwear a bikini and pair of shoes," she said in the video.

A perfect linen dress to fold into your onboard luggage is the Bed Threads French flax midi which comes in a variety of colours and is on sale for just $112, saving you $18.

Although it seems extravagant, wool and cashmere are lightweight and pack well meaning they're perfect for travelling.

Uniqlo always has a great price on cashmere knits and their crew neck cardigans come in a variety of colours to co-ordinate with your outfits.

Best of all they are on sale for right now for just $79.90, saving you $40!

For underwear, we can't go past classic Bonds knickers and you can get three for $39 at the moment.

For shoes that can work in the airport as well as on your holiday, it's hard to go past ballet flats. Target has some classic ballet flats in nude and black for just $22.

Finally, popping a bikini into your onboard bag is worthwhile so at least you can laze by the pool while your waiting for your hold luggage to turn up.
