Guy Sebastian's X-rated ARIAs gag steals show

Guy Sebastian shocked the audience at this year’s ARIA Awards, with the usually squeaky-clean singer making a raunchy quip about comedian Joel Creasey’s bright-green Kenzo jumpsuit.

Accepting the gong for Best Video, Guy looked Joel up and down and came out with the lightning-quick, highly topical zinger: ‘Greg Norman couldn’t wear that!’

Golfing legend Greg Norman made headlines this week for a racy post on social media, with a number of fans pointing out a very X-rated detail in one of the snaps.

“Doesn’t leave much to the imagination!” one person commented.

“Damn Greg save it for the OnlyFans. Absolute unit!” was another response.

Joel himself took the compliment, also jokingly calling his outfit “subtle”.

Guy’s quip wasn’t the only unscripted moment on the night.

Tim Minchin also gave a rather blunt directive to arts fans while presenting the Best Female award with Kate Ceberano.

While reflecting on what a difficult year it's been, his advice for fans as venues start to reopen and shows are able to go ahead again: “Do please buy a f**king ticket.”

Tame Impala were the night’s biggest winners, taking home five awards including Album of the Year.

Zambia-born, Botswana-raised Aussie rapper Sampa The Great also won plenty on the night, picking up three awards including Best Female Artist.
