ASAP Rocky case: Rihanna, Spike Lee, more stars react to rapper's verdict
A$AP Rocky's acquittal in his criminal trial wasn't just a victory for the embattled rapper.
On Tuesday, the 36-year-old hip-hop superstar was found not guilty of shooting at former friend A$AP Relli during a 2021 incident. Rocky, who'd been charged with two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, was facing up to 24 years in prison if convicted.
Following the verdict, several stars took to social media to celebrate the "Ruby Rosary" emcee's legal triumph, including Rocky's longtime partner Rihanna.
The singer and beauty mogul, who shares sons RZA and Riot with Rocky, made frequent appearances throughout the three-week trial, often sitting with Rocky's mother and sister among the court spectators.
"The Glory Belongs to God and God Alone!" Rihanna wrote on her Instagram Story Tuesday. "Thankful, Humbled by His Mercy!"
Rihanna, alongside Rocky's legal team, accompanied the rapper as they exited the Los Angeles courthouse on Tuesday. "I'm thankful and blessed to be here right now, to be a free man talking to y'all," Rocky told reporters.
