AOC Scorched The Comedian At Trump's "Hate Rally," And People Are Like, "Stop! Stop! He's Already Dead!"

In case you missed it, Donald Trump held a campaign rally at Madison Square Garden yesterday that featured some horribly racist moments. Several of them came from the "jokes" told by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, like this one, in which he referred to Puerto Rico as a "floating island of garbage":

After Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Tim Walz reacted to the clip, Hinchcliffe responded on X, accusing them of having "no sense of humor." That's when AOC decided to release a salvo.

AOC — whose mother was born in Puerto Rico — made sure Hinchcliffe didn't get away with shrugging off the racist jokes in his routine:

When Hinchcliffe made a (tired, overdone) reference to Tim Walz and tampons, AOC had this to say:

And when Hinchcliffe tried to justify his remarks by saying, "I love Puerto Rico and vacation there" (strong "some of my best friends are Black" vibes), she threw this at him:

Later, AOC appeared on MSNBC to speak further on the rally. "This was a hate rally," she said of the event.

And she made sure to point out that the Trump campaign — which tried to distance itself from Hinchcliffe's material after the fact — invited Hinchcliffe to speak and almost definitely knew what they were going to get. "This is not a comedian. This is the Trump campaign. They invited this rhetoric on their stage for a reason," she said.

People have been applauding AOC's direct, no-nonsense response:

Others pointed out that the people at the rally who put up with this ugly behavior are complicit:

Comment reads: "If you go to a rally, and you start to notice people there are racist, and you don't leave... you participated in a racist rally."

Not to mention just how out-of-touch Hinchcliffe's response was:

And they've been roasting Hinchcliffe themselves, of course:

Meanwhile, Bad Bunny and other Latine celebs have shown support for Kamala Harris in the aftermath of the rally.
