Anthony Hopkins Cuddles Beautiful Cat in Sweet Images from Morocco: ‘Love’

Hopkins shared a carousel post from North Africa on International Cat Day

Anthony Hopkins is celebrating International Cat Day.

On Thursday, August 8, the actor, 86, shared a carousel of snaps that featured himself and an array of beautiful cats in North Africa.

“From Ouarzazate, Morocco, with love. ❤️🐱” his caption read as he cuddled a cute kitten in the first snap.

Wrapping his hands around the tiny feline, The Silence of the Lambs star looked away from the camera as the cat appeared relaxed, looking straight on.

Hopkins then captured a ginger cat stretching on a bed and reaching their paw to the camera before a white cat was snapped donning a straight face.

The fourth slide then featured two of the cats sleeping alongside each other on a bed, while the following photo captured a cat squinting their eyes as they lounged on a cat bed.

Hopkins’ post concluded with a snap of three cats lying next to each other on a white blanket.

“Awwwwwww. What a sweet duo!! You're such a beautiful man, Sir Anthony 👏❤️🙌,” one person commented, while another added, “The best actor is a cat person! 😍🥰❤️😻.”

The animal adoption shelter that Hopkins tagged in his caption also expressed their gratitude to the star on their Instagram Stories.

“Sir @anthonyhopkins Advocating for our shelter on the International Cat day Such a honor,” Adopt Moroccan Animals wrote in their caption.

Reposting Hopkins’ post, they added, “Sir Anthony Hopkins Advocating for @ADOPTMOROCCANANIMALS on International Cat Day.”

“They you so much,” they continued as they shared another snap from Hopkins’ carousel.

Back in June 2023, Hopkins and his wife, Stella Arroyave, 68, teamed up with the nonprofit, Paws of War, to help rescue animals internationally.

Paws of War reunites members of the U.S. armed forces with the animals they helped save during their deployments.
