Annette Bening, Kerry Washington, Kate Winslet Among Recipients Of 2024 WIF Honors

Annette Bening, Michelle Buteau, Joey King, Ellen Kuras, Danielle Sanchez-Witzel, Kerry Washington, and Kate Winslet will be honored at the 2024 WIF Awards, set for October 24.

A total of five honors will be bestowed during the annual ceremony at the Beverly Hilton put on by WIF, the group formerly known as Women In Film, Los Angeles.

This year’s honors, themed “The Power of the Collective,” will include Bening receiving the Jane Fonda Humanitarian Award, presented by Fonda; Winslet and Kuras receiving the Crystal Award for Advocacy in Film; Buteau and Sanchez-Witzel the Crystal Award for Advocacy in TV; Washington receiving the Entrepreneur in Entertainment Award; and King the WIF Max Mara Face of the Future Award.

WIF said this year’s honors highlight “industry leaders who demonstrate that strength in collaboration, inclusion, and uplifting stories can change culture for the better.”

“The 2024 honorees embody the very essence of leadership, creativity, and advocacy that WIF has championed for over 50 years,” said WIF CEO Kirsten Schaffer on Monday announcing the honorees. “Their remarkable contributions, both on and off the screen, are a testament to the progress we continue to make toward a more equitable and inclusive entertainment industry. We are proud to celebrate their achievements and the lasting change they inspire.”

The WIF Honors is a benefit that supports WIF’s educational and philanthropic programs, and its advocacy for gender parity in entertainment.
