Anne Hathaway Says Meryl Streep Froze Her Out
It seems Anne Hathaway's relationship with Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada may not have just been an icy one on-screen.
In a new interview with The Graham Norton Show, Hathaway revealed that Streep, who played the notorious Miranda Priestly, was just as cold off-screen.
"When I met her she gave me a huge hug," Hathaway explained, "and I'm like, 'Oh my god, we are going to have the best time on this movie,' and then she's like, 'Ah sweetie, that's the last time I'm nice to you.'
"She then went into her trailer and came out the ice queen and that was really the last I saw of 'Meryl' for months, until we promoted the film," Hathaway said.
Never fear though: apparently Streep is a method actor, and she's actually "magical" in real life, as described by Hathaway.
"She's the most amazing, warm person," said the actress of Steep, adding that she'd "love" to do a sequel to The Devil Wears Prada with her.
"Wouldn't that be fun? I'd love to do that, but I don't know if there is any plan for it," Hathaway said.
