Anne Hathaway Confirmed She's Returning For "Princess Diaries 3" In The Best Way

This is not a drill — Anne Hathaway just confirmed that she's in for the third film in the Princess Diaries series.

Of course, if you're excited about this news, it means you're a fan of the 2001 film The Princess Diaries...

....As well as the 2004 sequel The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement.

It's been almost 20 years since the film series' last installment, and way back in November of 2022, it was revealed that a third film was in the works — but since then, we hadn't really heard anything else about it.

Well, all that changed yesterday, when Anne posted a video to her official IG account confirming that, yes, she's returning for a new installment in the film franchise.

The video featured Anne counting along with clips from the first two Princess Diaries films alongside a screenshot of an announcement that the third film is in the works.

"Miracles happen ✨👑 Back to Genovia," she posted in the video's caption, tagging Disney, Somewhere Pictures, and the third film's director Adele Lim.

"The fairy tale continues ❤️‍🔥."

And it seems like people were very excited in the comments:
