'American Idol' Alum Catie Turner Looks Unrecognizable in New Birthday Pictures
Catie Turner has come a long way since finishing in the Top 7 of American Idol in 2018. But it isn’t clear if it’s all good.
The Pennsylvania-born singer-songwriter posted several images on her Instagram to celebrate her 25th birthday, which happens to be on Valentine's Day. But not only had she drastically changed her hair color, but she also had lost so much weight, some of her fans commented because they were worried that she looked 'unwell' and 'unrecognizable.'
Catie wrote in the caption of her Instagram post: “Crossing the rainbow bridge today as i turn 25. when HAGS stops being ‘have a great summer’ and turns into a word to describe u and ur gworls. im being moved from the khia asylum into the abdul home effective immediately.”

In the birthday photos, Catie, who wore a floral vest top and black mini skirt with a scarf at the waist, has a noticeably thinner figure, which led fans to comment about their concern.

“Is she okay,” one fan asked, while another said, “She is clearly struggling with a weight issue. Prayers for this young lady."
One fan also took to Reddit to post, “I know she’s been open about ED, this is not meant to shame her at all… but she looks unwell. I hope she can find some resources and support. I didn’t recognize her when the post first popped up. This post was in celebration of her 25th birthday.”
While another wrote, “Poor thing looks unrecognizable. I hope she is getting help.”
Career-wise, Catie has released four EPs: The Sad Vegan as an independent artist, followed by Heartbroken and Milking It, Comedy & Tragedy: Act I, and Comedy & Tragedy: Act II with Atlantic Records.
