Ali Fedotowsky-Manno's husband Kevin Manno has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, the pair announced in a candid social media video.

The Bachelorette alum, 40, was joined by her husband, 41, on Sunday, Jan. 26, as they revealed on Instagram that they recently found out that Kevin has papillary thyroid cancer, which they described as "very treatable."

"We always try to be open and honest. We're open books with our lives," Kevin opened the clip, which the couple filmed while sitting together on their bed. "We want to give you guys a quick update about something that's happening over here in the Manno family, but I'm not stressing about it."

"I know that Ali shared this recently that I had to go in for a scan — a biopsy and then a CT scan. And it came back that I do have thyroid cancer," he continued, quickly adding, "But I'm not freaking out."

As the couple detailed in the post's caption, Kevin — who shares daughter Molly Sullivan, 8, and son Riley Doran, 6, with Ali — has "2 malignant spots on his right side" and the cancer appears to be "in one lymph node, but we won’t know for sure until his surgery."

Kevin's surgery, the couple revealed, is scheduled for Feb. 10 and he will either have half of his thyroid or his entire thyroid operated on.

"The prognosis is very good," Kevin said. "It looks good. It's going to be something that I can go in, Feb. 10 is the surgery, and we're going to knock it out and it'll be behind us."

After Ali joked with her husband that he was being "too positive" about the health news, she shared that they already met with Kevin's surgeon and an additional oncologist to get a second opinion. "The first thing he said to us was, 'If you have to get cancer, this is the cancer you want to get,' " she recalled.

The pair then noted that the oncologist called it a "boring cancer," and Ali encouraged fans to share their own journeys with thyroid cancer in the post's comment section. As Kevin explained, his wife has "been great through this whole thing"

"It's changed my perspective on every day life and truly, you never know when you're going to wake up tomorrow and things could change," Ali said.

Elsewhere, in the post's caption, the couple again encouraged followers to share their personal experiences, as they were "specifically curious about stories related to whether or not you or someone you know had their full thyroid or half of it removed with the cancer only on one side."

"If the surgeon gets in there and determines the whole thing has to be removed regardless, we will of course move forward with that. But going into the surgery, he has a choice to be aggressive or leave half if possible," Ali wrote.

"Thank you all for the love and support you’ve always shown us. We are grateful ❤️," the couple concluded the joint post.
