These adorable royal kids can't wait to get back at school

It’s not easy to get kids to look happy about going back to school, but these young royals haven’t been there long enough to worry about the horrors of homework.

If you’re unfamiliar, the beaming twins are four-year-old Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques of Monaco, are the children of Princess Charlene and Prince Albert, and their cuteness levels are through the roof.

Posting to Instagram, Charlene shared an adorable snap of her two kids dressed and ready for their first day back at school wearing coats that matched their carry bags and beaming with excitement.

And her followers couldn’t help but gush over them with one person saying, “So excited and adorable”.

My goodness such sweet little children! Have a great second semester!” another person wished them.

“What a wonderful smile, knowing that they are going back to school,” another wrote.

Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques started ‘big school’ in September last year, meaning they are returning in 2019 for their second semester.

However, while looking back at photos from their first day in September, you can already see just how much they have grown up in half a year.

It’s not the first time we’ve caught a glimpse of the little ones’ lives either, as just last month the pair celebrated their fourth birthday with an extravagant superhero themed birthday party that made us all wish we could have grown up as royals.

The next-level party saw comic book heroes Batman, Iron Man, the Hulk and Spider-Man all make an appearance at the highly decorated palace.

And we’re talking, floor-to-ceiling red and blue wall hangings, plenty of banners, streamers, themed balloons and party plates, along with cutouts of their favourite superheroes.

The kids were also treated to a generous multi-layered cake that appeared to be along the lines of strawberry and cream flavour that was surrounded by images of Spider-Man and Wonder Woman.

Monaco’s Fire Department even made an appearance in their bright red fire-truck and offered to give the young royals a ride in the cherry picker crane – something many kids would dream of at that age.
