Actor storms off Good Morning Britain live over 'addict' line
It looks like Good Morning Britain is the hottest set to storm off these days after an interview with UK actress Patsy Palmer quickly became something of a trainwreck when the former EastEnders star took offence at the on-screen description used to introduce her and cut off the interview before it had really begun.
Now the star has taken to social media to defend her decision to 'do a Piers' just 90 seconds into the interview, shutting her laptop screen to cut off her virtual chat days after the former host also stormed off set, he over a challenge to his anti-Meghan Markle stance.
Piers resigned from the morning show the following day.
Patsy's very spicy storm off came after hosts Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard introduced the star, asking about her new life in Malibu, whether press scrutiny has lessened being away from the UK, and her thoughts on Harry and Meghan's big move having done it herself.

The interview went south quickly when Patsy, whose on-screen descriptor initially read 'Patsy Palmer, actress and entrepreneur,' noticed it had been changed to 'Patsy Palmer: Addict to wellness guru'.

The star has openly discussed struggling with alcohol and drug abuse in the 90s but has been sober since 2004, and was appearing on the show to discuss a new business venture.
Once she spotted the subtle change she cut off Reid and Shephard announcing she didn't want to do the interview anymore in a very awkward exchange.
“You know what actually, I don’t even want to do this interview, because I don’t even want to look at what it says at the bottom of that screen,” she said.
“So I’m just gonna switch off, do a real Piers Morgan, and say it’s not OK to have ‘addict to wellness guru’ on the bottom of the screen."
Before slamming her laptop screen shut she added: "My issues that I had years ago were talked about by me many, many years ago, and it’s over. So I’m not going to talk to you."
While both hosts rushed to apologise, insisting they meant no offence, the actress was long gone, seeming to close her laptop lid in a calm but defiant move that left the hosts fumbling live.

Later taking to social media, she explained that she was furious that a small segment to promote her brand had been used to discuss old and what she considered to be irrelevant information.
"My apologies to anyone that wants to hear good news as I have great faith that considering what is going on in the world right now there are some people that do," she wrote in a now-deleted post on Instagram.
"I keep seeing people saying 'Get over yourself', I have gotten over my old self years ago and no longer wish to discuss it when I only have five minutes of air time."
She later added: "I am not going to waste those precious five minutes talking about things that are 20 years old or about Meghan and Harry."
Shepard claimed the quote used, 'addict to wellness guru' was a quote from Patsy's book, though the actress pointed out her book was published in 2007 and quotes might be somewhat out of date.
Patsy has starred on and off as Bianca Jackson on east Enders since 1993, her most recent appearance being in 2019.
She left the UK in 2014 and now resides in an opulent Malibu home with her husband and family.
